Which links are affiliate links

Outbound product links are marked with a small "Affiliate link" label beneath them. Links without that label earn us nothing — they are there because the product is the right answer, not because it pays. We would rather send you somewhere useful for free than send you somewhere worse for a commission.

What this does and doesn't influence

Commission rates are not a factor in what we recommend or how we rank things. Where a category is better served by a retailer we earn nothing from, we say so and link there anyway.

Most product links on this site are searches rather than links to one specific listing. That is deliberate. Home decor listings rotate constantly — a link to a single product page goes stale, sells out, or quietly becomes a different item. A search shows you what is actually in stock at today's price.

What we don't do

We don't write fake first-hand reviews. Nothing on this site claims that we personally tested, installed, or lived with a product unless that is true. We don't invent specifications — where a dimension, weight rating, or material matters, we tell you to check the product's own listing rather than repeating a number we can't verify.

The room images at the top of our category pages are generated illustrations. They are not photographs of real homes, they are not photographs of any product, and nothing in them is for sale. They are there to set a mood, and every one of them carries a caption saying so. We would rather label them than let a picture imply we photographed a room we have never stood in.

We also don't publish user testimonials, comments, or ratings that we made up. If you ever see something on this site that reads like invented experience, it's a mistake and we want to know about it.
