A gallery wall reads as deliberate or as clutter, and the difference is almost never the art. It is whether the frames agree with each other and whether the whole arrangement is hung at a sensible height. Both are decided with a tape measure before anything goes on the wall, which is the good news, because it means it costs nothing to get right.
Before you hang anything
Match the frames, mix the art
A dense wall of mismatched images in matching frames reads as a collection. The same images in mismatched frames read as whatever was to hand. If you want the frames themselves varied, that is a specifically Victorian look and it needs density to hold together. Building a gothic gallery wall covers spacing, layout and the hardware.
Print sizes and frame sizes rarely agree
European sellers use the A-series, which does not correspond to any standard frame sold in the US, so an A4 print does not fit an 8x10. A mat is usually the fix and it improves the result anyway. Hang lower than instinct says
The convention is to centre the arrangement around eye level rather than to fill the gap under the ceiling, and most people hang too high on the first attempt. For a group, treat the whole cluster as one rectangle and centre that. An arched mirror is the usual anchor and is worth positioning before anything else.
